Luncheon Club at LCDI
Background
Originally known as the Coffee Club, we have been operating for over 20 years.
When the Old Roe Valley Hospital was renovated and the kitchen reinstated we began serving lunches to the group and we then became known as The Luncheon Club.
Who We Cater For
Our aim is to provide the senior citizens of the Limavady Area and surrounding districts with a good nourishing meal followed by a social period in the afternoon when they can enjoy some fun and friendship.
We provide transport to and from the club for all our members. All buses have a lift facility so mobility is never a problem. Pick up times are from 11.30am onwards. The cost of transport is £2.00 per person per day. All buses are provided with an escort and driver
Lunch is served at 12.30pm, this consists of dinner, and dessert followed by tea and biscuits and cost £3.00 per day.
Programme Activities
Afternoon activities are varied and include bingo, computer games, beetle drives, quizzes, videos, knitting sewing, jigsaws, crafts, trips out and lots more.
All these activities are free
Afternoon tea is served again at 2.30pm. The Club ends at 3.30pm with transport home.
The group is open to those who are 55 years of age and over. We are operating at present on Mondays and Wednesdays each week, but we hope to increase the number of days in the near future.
So why sit at home wondering what to do every day, come and join us and enjoy yourself
