Community Transport

Background

LCDI have been involved in Community Transport since 1987. In that time we have been providing transport for any community group based in the Borough of Limavady. Typical journeys involve; sports, leisure,educational, recreational and shopping etc.

The Fleet

We have a small fleet of vehicles which includes a 33 seat coach, a 24 seat minibus and five regular minibuses. All of our buses (except the coach) are wheelchair accessible). The buses are available to hire at any time throughout on any day of the week and we will travel anywhere in the British Isles.
Buses usually come with a Driver but in situations where regular work in undertaken; we will permit a volunteer from the group/club to drive.

MIDAS

All of our drivers (paid and voluntary) must be MIDAS trained; MIDAS is a nationally recognised standard of quality for Community Transport. We have a MIDAS Trainer on site and we offer this service at a very reasonable rate for any person requiring the Certificate. LCDI Community Transport is members of the Community Transport Association of N. Ireland.

Funding

We do not receive funding from anyone; we rely solely on the income from providing transport. We are a non-profit Charity focusing on providing safe, affordable and accessible transport for the Borough of Limavady.
